2 Month Checkup

This doctor's appointment was no fun for Chess or me. She had to get three shots in her cute, chubby little legs, and I had to watch. It was so sad.

But, on a positive note, she is healthy and growing well. She is in the 95th percentile for height and weight: 24 inches long, 13 pounds and 2 ounces.

Happy First Father's Day, Jared!

Jared is a great dad. Chess and I got him a small gift, and I made him homemade waffles for breakfast. We went to church and to my parents' house that evening for a cook-out.

I thought it was funny how he "syrupped" his waffles. Mine, on the other hand, were drowning in syrup!

Chess wanted to be with her daddy for part of breakfast.

Chess' First Wedding

My friend, Heather, got married this weekend. Chess was the only baby invited, and she was so quiet you wouldn't even know she was there! Plus, it was a Catholic wedding, so it was about an hour long. I was very impressed with my little girl.

Here we are in the beautiful church in Atlanta.

The reception was at The Peachtree Club.

There was an amazing view!

I thought the cake was really pretty.

A candid shot of the happy couple getting their food.

Update

Chess has found her thumb, and it's so cute (for now)!

She is still sleeping on her side.

Here are some of her adorable facial expressions:

Also, she is becoming a lot more vocal. She loves to "talk" and experiment with her voice. It is so cute!

When Daddy Does My Hair

This is what Chess' hair looks like after Jared dries her off and gets her dressed after her bath. Her facial expression says it all!

Chess' Baby Blessing

All ready for church

All of our family that was there

Everyone came over to our house for lunch afterwards.

This is what Chess did the whole time everybody was over!

It was a beautiful and special day to share with our family. Jared and I are so thankful for the sweet daughter we have been blessed with.

Grandma and Grandpa Thompson

Jared's parents were able to come to Georgia for Chess' blessing. It was their first time meeting their newest granddaughter. We are so happy they could come spend time with us!

Chess is very comfortable with her grandma.

Chess decided to sleep in "prayer" position.

My friend, Julie, was also in town this weekend.
